Job Title: Water Spider

Position Overview:
The Water Spider supports production operations by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to manufacturing workstations and the movement of materials between workstations within the Lean flow line.
This role supports:
- Creation of standard work
- Maintaining standard work
- Training and coaching of standard work
- Improvement of standard work
This role maintains continuous material flow, replenishes point-of-use inventory, removes finished goods and waste, and supports workplace organization standards. The Water Spider plays a critical role in minimizing production interruptions and enabling operators to focus on value-added work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver materials to production workstations according to standard work.
- Replenish point-of-use inventory using Kanban signals.
- Remove finished goods, scrap, and empty containers.
- Verify correct part numbers and quantities during deliveries.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S standards.
- Operate material handling equipment safely.
- Support inventory tracking and cycle counts.
- Identify abnormal conditions and escalate issues.
- Operates equipment in the cell as necessary to keep product flowing at takt.
Required Qualifications
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Full understanding of the manufacturing process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 40 - 50 lbs.
Work Environment
Active manufacturing environment requiring frequent movement throughout production areas.
